The 9 week introductory classes schedule starting March 16th for kids, and youth will be:

Tuesdays            4:00 – 4:45

Wednesdays      6:15 – 7:00

Cost is $99 for the 9 week session 1 day/week.  Payment due first day of classes.

Fee includes School T-shirt for training.  No additional cost required for this introductory session.  Follow up classes will be offered for those interested.

There will be 9 week introductory classes starting March 16th for kids, youth, and family.  Classes are designed to introduce Choy Li Fut basics including footwork, hand and kicking techniques, and breathing exercises.  Deadline has been extended to March 12th but there are limited spaces available.

Saturday January 30th Golden Leopard will be giving a Kung Fu demonstration in conjunction with Plum Blossom Kung Fu School downtown at the Metrodome for Twins Fest. The demonstrations will be from 11:30 – 12:00.  We will be in the Twins Diversity Area.  Hope to see you there!

We are starting a new page you will find under the blog heading in the side bar titled Q & A.  This page is to share thoughts ideas and information that come from questions that site visitors, students or family have about our school, association, style, history, teaching, or anything else that relates in some way to our System of Kung Fu or Martial Arts, and Health in general.  Not all questions and answers will be displayed on line, but we will try to post all that may be truly informative or thought provoking to others.  Thank you for your thoughts and questions.

Golden Leopard will be offering a morning and evening Yang Tai Chi classes.  The classes are designed to give participants a basic overview of Tai Chi principles and practice.  The classes will cover a short 8 posture Tai Chi form and Chi Kung exercises.  There is no prior experience needed.

Join us and learn a practical set of exercises to put to immediate use in helping the practitioner reap the benefits both physically and mentally from this ancient Chinese practice.

We are going to start a quote page on the site.  Check the side bar for Quote of the Week.  We hope the quotes will be something thought provoking, or inspiring.  It can pertain to the martial arts directly or be something that carries into ones life in general.  Enjoy, give feed back and e-mail a quote you would like to share.  Just make sure to include where the quote is from if known.

Our second annual potluck has come and gone.  Thank you to all those who attended for the wonderful food and company.  It was a very nice time.  Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate much, but having it indoors kept everyone a little closer in proximity and made the socializing a little more personal.  I hope every enjoyed themselves and will help keep this annual event going.

The new space is not exactly complete but it is ready for training to begin.  With any luck by the end of October most of the final touches will be complete.  Grandmaster had give me recommendations for training hall colors and the such.  I would like to thank those who have give of their free time to help with the mess and grunt work portion of the build out.  With out the help we would probably still be a week or two away from getting into the new space.

It looks like after September 2nd we will be able to begin work on preparing the space for the new school.  I will post when we will be there working on the space and what will be done.  Come help create your new Kung Fu training hall!
