Another great performance at this years Dragon Boat Festival. Thank you to all those that took your time to come out and show your Kung Fu as well as those who came to support the School. We just finished our 3rd Annual Golden Leopard Martial Arts Center Potluck this weekend at Baker Park with an added twist. A few of the families added a couple nights of camping at the group site. We had a great time with our Kung Fu family sharing a meal and some personal time on Saturday at the Potluck. Some also enjoyed a couple nights staying warm by the campfire and having a s’more or 2 or 3. Thank you to all those that could attend for helping make this a very enjoyable and filling weekend. We hope all those that attended feel the same. Hope to see everyone that was there and more next year!
A great time was had by all who attended our long over due Choy Li Fut training weekend in Fargo with Sifu Neil McRitchie and other members of our Kung Fu family from Winnipeg. There was a tremendous amount of sharing that occurred. Spear, sword, and pole sets, not to mention all sorts of application, knife defense and more. We encountered a little rain but not enough to dampen our spirits or stop the kung fu.
I would like to thank all those that attended for their time and kung fu. This was not only a time to share kung fu but to share ourselves and reconnect with our extended Kung Fu family.
There are all ready thoughts of a bigger and better “training camp” next year. Hope to see all the familiar faces plus many more.
Another Dragon Boat Festival behind us. The day started out rather hot and humid. The sun showing down. Then about 15 minutes into our demonstration massive down pour. We only got to show about half of our material, but we ended with a very nice Choy Li Fut set, be it a little soggy performed by Noah Johnson. after many of us being soaked we decided to stay and play a little in the wet, and some cases the mud. Over all I think a good time was had by most if not all.
I would like to thank all those who put in the time to train and came out to support Golden Leopard Kung Fu School. Everyone did a wonderful job!

Another Dragon Boat Festival is upon us. Come join Golden leopard and all the other performers at Lake Phalen this weekend. Golden Leopard will be doing a Kung Fu demonstration at 3:30 on Sunday July 11th. We will have members of our Kids, Youth, and Adult classes showing what they have been working. Hope to see you there.
We will be there again this year showing the neighborhood some Choy Li Fut. Last year was a good time in both presenting our Kung Fu and enjoying some of the other festivities at Bancroft Meadows Park, 42nd St. and Bloomington Ave So. We will be holding demo / classes at the park on Wednesday July 29th. Youth group will be on from 5;30 – 6:30 and the Adults from 6:30 – 8:00.

*Games and Activities for all and a parade (decorate your bike) at 6:30
*Paper Boats Puppet Show

Come and join the neighborhood celebration and enjoy an evening in the park!
Plans are to begin training outdoors on Wednesday nights starting in May. It’s wonderful to be out in the warm weather and is a great time to train weapons. We loose the restrictions of the school and are able to have everyone train and move more freely. I will keep you posted on the exact date we will be starting.
Anyone needing to purchase a Pole please let Sifu know as soon as possible.
